The MahaSiddha Center is our residential meditation community and community center located in the heart of Berkeley. Just a few blocks from UC Berkeley, this house opened in December 2005 due to massive support from individuals in our community. It is home to 10 residents who hold a weekly public meditation class, as well as daily morning meditation practice and host regularly Retreats, Ayurveda Clinic and regular visits from our teacher, Kali Ma.
The nearest airport is Oakland Airport which is approximately 20 minutes away. Public transportation is ample in Berkeley, if taking the BART, stop at the Downtown Berkeley Station and go south on Shattuck for about four blocks and make a left on Channing. It is about three blocks up on the right, before telegraph, the big yellow house with the tall prayer flag in the center of the yard. Several public parking lots are available on Channing.
Residential Program; MahaSiddha Gompa The Gompa houses 10-11 residents and has had a continuous waiting list for residency since its opening. Residents play an active role in the community and host our local events. They also have full-time jobs and active, full lives. More about Residential Training
Guests Guests may apply for a three-day stay. Guests longer than three days are considered residents. Guests for retreats coming from out of town are often placed in homes of our local community. Guests may inquire via 1-888-826-8729.
